Our Next Meeting

Everyone Please tell Mrs. Christie thanks for getting us the Learning Lab at Bridgestone. It was nice for everyone to have a computer and to get to earn those two badges at the same time.
The next meeting will be held at our regular place {Cornerstone} 6pm
We will be having a Dance Party!!!!
Brownies will earn their Dancercize Patch, and our Juniors will earn one as well.
Please come a little hungry, we will have snacks and sandwices throughout our party.
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie down!!!
November 30th-
Radio City Rockettes at Grand Ole Opry- Please see the link "ROCKETTES"We will leave right after school for this and we will get a badge for this also. The troop is buying 20 tickets so we will give all the girls a chance to sign up and then adults accordingly. (If all the girls go, that will give 4 adults tickets, if only 10 go, then 10 adults and so on.) This is a neat program. We will pay half of all the tickets, so each would only be $5 and you get the badge, the show, the educational thing, and refreshments. Put this on your calendar!

Trainings!!

Melody and I just completed some new age level training and a weekend of camping training at Camp Nee Kah Nah. We had a great time and have lots of things to share with the girls at our camping trips to come. Please see all of the activities on the list of things to come. You should also get an email from us in the next little bit with some more detailed Info.

Our list of things to come!!!

October 5th-6th {leaving around 4:00pm from Cornerstone} Our camping trip to HOLLOWAY-

This camp is located in Robertson County. If you would like a map of how to get there in case of emergencies, please email me. They won't let me put a link on our page for security reasons.

We will only be staying one night this time to let them get the feel of it. Our next venture this winter will be a larger lodge, and then on to tent camping.

For this trip the girls will need:

Please pack as minimal as possible! NO VALUABLES OR JEWELRY OTHER THAN EARRINGS!

  • $5 for supper Friday night {we will be stopping somewhere like McDonalds,etc.}

  • Change of clothes, including pjs and a jacket and pants for nighttime

  • Sleeping bag and pillow {they may bring something to sleep with-stuffed animal, etc.}

  • Toiletries {they are welcome to bring shower items, but it is not required since it is 1 night-mostly just a brush and toothbrush}

  • tennis shoes or other closed toe shoes and socks

  • Rain gear-either a raincoat or poncho {we like the .95 ones at wallyworld}

  • Pack only the required items....no toys, games, ipods, cdplayers, mp3 players, etc...

  • Please bring booster seats if still required to ride in one.

  • Bandanna

**IF YOU NEED A RIDE, PLEASE CALL US IN ADVANCE!!!!**We have a mom going by most of the schools

We should return around 3:00 or 4:00pm on SAT

Other upcoming dates:

October 8th: Meeting at Bridgestone Learning Lab @ 6pm and please bring all candy and nut money.
Directions:
Once you come through the main gate to Bridgestone, follow the road to the guard shack. Tell them you are with the GS Troop 1142…and they will let you through the guard shack gate. The Learning Center will be the 1st building to your left and there are two entrances to the parking area…We should be in Conference Room 1 or 2 on the left once you are inside the building. We will probably be the ONLY ones there in the evening hours so it should be easy to narrow down.

October 9th- I must have all candy and nut money by this date to deposit into the troop account so we can pay for all the sold items.

November 30th- Radio City Rockettes at Grand Ole Opry- Please see the link "ROCKETTES"

We will leave right after school for this and we will get a badge for this also. The troop is buying 20 tickets so we will give all the girls a chance to sign up and then adults accordingly.
